Ditch hibernation mode and refresh your bedroom in 3 steps

After months of doing everything possible to be as cozy as possible (how many throw blankets is too many?), we’re ready to end our hibernation. Spring has sprung and it’s time for a reset. With just a couple of easy, breezy switches, your space will feel freshly transformed (without a major design overhaul).

Step One: Good Old-Fashioned Spring Cleaning

A well-designed room loses its luster under clutter. And a good, deep clean is so satisfying (when it’s done). So, aside from tidying, dusting, vacuuming, wiping—you know what we’re going to say next.

Time to give a little love (not that kind) to your mattress. The best thing for your mattress is fresh air and UV sunlight. Pull off all of the bedding and let your mattress breathe for a few hours – ideally outdoors in the sun or near an open, sunny window. The UV rays naturally eliminate bacteria. Martha Stewart also recommends flipping or rotating your mattress 4x per year to ensure even wear.

We don’t know about you but we’re feeling fresher already.

Step Two: Spring Greens

Bring nature into your bedroom with leafy plants, or even just a bouquet of fresh flowers. Bonus points for an oversized plant to really bring your room to life.

Step Three: Add Color

Infuse your space with some spirit and get creative with color. You can…
