When it comes to selling a mattress, you have to charge enough to offset all the costs associated with making it. Anything over that is the profit margin. That’s the amount the company decides to pocket. We believe that everyone deserves to feel Allswell and that starts with a great night’s sleep on a well-made mattress. Rather than pad our pockets with unnecessary markups, we make it our mission to charge less so we can serve more.
There’s another reason we keep our costs down: to earn your loyalty so you’ll come back for more Allswell, vs a one-and-done scenario. We’re only as successful as our loyal customers make us, so we want to do the most we can to build that loyalty.
Absolutely not. It’s critical that we make a high-quality product. We could use more inexpensive materials and charge even less than we do, but that isn’t how we roll. We think we’ve gotten the quality-price ratio down quite well (and our customer reviews show that!).
We’re confident your Allswell will serve you well for at least a decade of happy snoozing. That’s why we back it up with a 10-year limited warranty, which covers defects in workmanship and materials. So sleep easy.
Nope! It’s a great quality mattress that just happens to come in a box! We know that if you’ve never ordered a mattress in a box, it can be a little odd at first. But once it’s unboxed and springs to life, it’s indistinguishable from a mattress you’ll find from a high-end store. (Oh, minus the back-breaking task of having to drag, hoist, and position it onto your bed frame.)
We get it; we’re skeptics too. Trust doesn’t come easy. But we’re working hard to earn yours by offering a great product and great service at a great price. Lastly, we’re passionate about what we do. We’re a group of real people — not a faceless data algorithm — who come to work every day with the goal of making great sleep accessible to all. Of course we have business goals (and lofty ones at that), but they’re powered by an underlying mission to make people’s lives better by helping them sleep better.
Besides the costs of manufacturing and shipping, the other costs are things like rent and staffing (we need enough people to ensure a first-rate product and top-notch customer service). That said, we’re committed to keeping costs down at every turn. Evidence of this: our entry-level offering, The Allswell, has actually gone down in price since its original launch.
We do! Besides the aforementioned 10-year limited warranty, we also offer a 100-night free trial, (That said: we’re very confident you’ll love it!)
We launched in early 2018 as a response to what customers asked for: a mattress that’s luxe but affordable. Because we’re so new, we understand you may not have heard of us (sad as that might make us). But our goal is to become a name that people remember.
